It all started when...

Cris is a freelance photographer based in Houston, Texas.  Her passion for photography started as a hobby 12 years ago, volunteering to take photos at football games and other sports.  Not only does she love football, but feels its important to capture moments for these young men and women.  You'll find her with camera gear on the sidelines on Friday nights.  Students vying for her attention, wanting their photos taken. These photos are their memories, which will take them down memory lane, laugh, wonder who won, remember a time and place in their young lives.  Its this volunteer experience which has allowed her creative artistry to flourish.  Photography is a way to capture the beauty of the moment regardless of the time and place.

Though, she's done hundreds of sports games, she specializes in Senior portraits and is capable of head-shots, engagements and the like.  She strives to make her clients feel comfortable during their photo shoot, drawing them into conversations, removing all restraints.  She genuinely believes the best photos are candid shots.  Photos where the person is at ease with themselves and the photographer.   

When she's not working with clients, she works on personal photography projects such as landscapes or creating unique photos.  She loves spending time at the beach, especially in the evenings when the sun sets.  Its as is if nature calls her soul.  The beach offers a sense of peace, sitting, reading, listening to the roar of the waves, most of all snapping photos on what the beach offers.  Her other creative pursuits are building, painting birdhouses (yes she has her own tools), making photo collages, traveling, last but not least is cooking her moms dishes, she has a deep appreciation for her moms recipes.  Cris feels each of her pursuits are a form of art and a true artist will perform their best when doing something they love.  This love flows into her photography, in creating memories whether its with photos or for having met you.
